get to know justin

Justin David Sullivan (he/she/they) is a trans non-binary singer, actor, and artist in New York City. Originally from Southern California, Justin was born with a passion to create and the determination to color the world with every crayon in the box. With a creative mind and a plethora of different interests, Justin never doubted their purpose: they were born to perform.

His heart for theatre stems from his love for storytelling. Justin is passionate about diversity and representation in the performing arts and hopes to be seen as an advocate of inclusivity. Their greatest hope is for their art to continue to represent marginalized communities and shed light to the culture and experiences that he carries as an openly queer person of Mexican and Korean descent. Justin is committed to using her platform to uplift and inspire other trans, non-binary, and gender expansive people and give a voice to the voiceless.

Justin started their musical theatre career at the age of 15, dawning the roles of Leading Player in Pippin, Harry Potter in A Very Potter Musical, and Troy Bolton in High School Musical: On Stage! They studied acting and media production at UC San Diego, where they graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Communication. Upon moving to New York City, Justin signed with the Daniel Hoff Agency for musical theatre representation.

In addition to theatre, some of Justinโ€™s other hobbies and interests include: photography, videography, makeup, fashion, styling, editing, painting, illustration, writing, and collaborating with other artists. Currently, Justin is starring as May in the pop-hit Broadway musical & Juliet at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre.

Justin was most recently seen as Georg in Spring Awakening at Urban Stages in NYC, TJ in Sister Act at Lewis Family Playhouse, and Sonny in In The Heights at the El Camino Center for the Arts.
